Repair rear load area corrosion
Fabricate fuel tank mounts and retaining straps
Sand off existing paint
- Smooth out sanded shell
- Paint!
Fabricate trim panel for bulkhead void
Fabricate trim panels for dash supports
- Fit Range Rover power mirrors to newly fabricated trim panels!
Fit windscreen (!)
Adjust wipers
Fit rear view mirror
Fabricate seat mounts and fit seats
Modify and fit inner dash support trim panels
Bond mounting tranklement to front of shell
Bond support rails to wing uppers - they're frightfully flimsy...
Recondition bull bar and rear bumper
Drivetrain, suspension and steering
Check tracking! It's still not right! (Though not through lack of trying...)
Fix main gearbox leak
Change gearbox oil filter
Fit new oil unions and pipes
Change oil in front and rear differentials
Change oil in transfer case
Fit new gearbox oil cooler
Fill & prime gearbox
Fill steering box, prime power steering pump.
Pack swivels with grease
Fit new polybushes to panhard rod
- Shot blast & respray wheels
Fit & adjust auto shift lever
- Fabricate adaptor for autobox temp sensor / fit new temp sensor
Brakes
Check brakes and wheel bearings
Flush / refil brake system
Renew rear brake pipe
Drill new hole in transmission tunnel for Range Rover handbrake lever
Electrical system
Fit battery trays & retainers
Fit primary battery feed cable
Fit isolator switch
Fit rear lamp clusters
Modify and fit front indicators / side lamps
Run near- and off-side rear wiring loom down sill voids
Make up wiring loom adaptors for headlights
Replace headlight reflectors
Fit horn wiring
- Frown at little sensor thing that used to live near off-side headlight until work out what it does
Run wiring for stereo
- Run coax for CB / HAM radios
Run wiring for rear work lights
Test pad wear sensor wiring - seems iffy...
Fit new headlamp reflectors
Fit rear numberplate light(s)
- Fit trailer lighting socket
Engine, fuel and exhaust
Fit new fuel pipes
Fit new oil unions and pipes
Fit new engine oil cooler
Prime and fill engine oil
Look at air filter: existing solution is crap and ugly :-)
Renew exhaust mounting rubbers
Frown at tailpipe until it looks better :-)
